Quick Update!

I have been struck by few "disasters" lately...
1. 13/12/2008 around 5pm++, my room's ceiling caught fire. I was SO panicked. Luckily the fire didn't spread to the other rooms. I'll update the pics and write more on this when I get back my internet connection. (Now I'm taking advantage on office's internet again, hehe) So... to be short, now I'm a homeless gal.

2. 19/12/2008. Got a flat tyre this morning. My partner drove us back from Equine last nite after viewing my-new-house-to-be. Being tired and all, he accidentally drove the car direct to a big pothole near Bukit Mahkota. He did check the car last night but no damage could be seen. But this morning, the left front tyre was totally flat. And worse the rim was crooked as well. So I have to drive at 50mph to Serdang to get it fixed. I reached office at ~11am.

3. 19/12/2008. Oliver sneaked out from my partner's house to the empty neighbouring unit this morning. I hope he'll come home soon.

On a happier note (though belated ones), the four of us visited Malacca on 6/12/2008. It was a pleasant trip and I shall update more on the trip with pics soon.

For now, I'm just hoping that everything will get settled quickly as I'm flying back home on this coming 23rd for Xmas Holiday...

Oh, and workload in the office now sucks.

Anyways, do have a Merry Cristmas & a Happy New Year folks!!!

I'm sore

Why?
-Woke up at 5am.
-Went out from my house at 6am.
-Traveled by 4 types of transportation, queued up in long queues, walked thousands of steps, rode numerous rides for 16 hours straight.

And I've lost my dear shades today. Stupid me.

Sigh of RELIEF

1. My brand new washing machine is finally here.

2. My landlord actually came this afternoon, and poured some highly corrosive substance into the sink and my sink is back in business! YEY!!!

3. Whilst helping my landlord fixing the sink, I let my front door opened to allow good ventilation inside the house... the fumes coming from the sink were really bad... super bad. So, after the sink was done, and my landlord went home, I looked for Roo & Oliver. I called and called and only Roo came. I searched for Oliver all over the house but no sign on him anywhere, I didn't even hear a single meow from him. I was frantic. I was scared that Oliver ran out from the house since the front door was opened and I was busy with the sink thingy. So I went out to search him through my block. But no sign of him too. So feeling helpless, I went back home and try to find him again. Finally, I found him. He was actually inside one of the boxes in the store cum litter room. I was happy and mad at the same time cause he didn't response when I called him earlier...:)

So that's my Saturday events so far. Current mood. Happy.. :)

Eeeeee....

First - Luckily the winning team for Amazing Race Asia 3 was not the P****'s team. Yey for Ida & Tania for great positivity till the end. Congrats HK team!

Second - So the "maintenance" guy came. He charged me RM80 for just fiddling some sticks at the sink drainage point. But it came to no good too...seems like it's a bigger problem. So as of now, my sink still doesn't work...DAMN!

Third - My landlord said that I should bear 50% of the cost... Should I? I mean, it's not like I'm going to rent this place forever right?

Fourth - My poor mum, she still work around the kitchen with a clogged sink.

Fifth - Wish my partner is here with me now. He's sure will know what to do with the sink. Damn my dependency side towards him for hard labour stuff.

Pain in the TUT...

I am really pissed with this leakage, clogged drainage system and continuously wet kitchen. Darn darn darn!

My landlord can only send someone to fix on coming thursday... Arghh! Tension ni...

Moreover, my mom and sis will arrive tomorrow... This unwelcome kitchen will be a total inconvenience to us till thursday. DARN!!!!!

Clogged!

My kitchen sink is clogged...! What a barnacle thing! Hope my landlord can fix this ASAP.

-aLoNe-

Yesterday, I went to KLIA to fetch my partner, he's leaving for Korea for 2 whole weeks. I hate it when he's out of reach (physically) like this.
Well, his duty calls... Can't do anything.

He'll be having meetings for the first few days and will be spending the rest of the trip at ChungBuk University, South Korea. (How I wish I can go with him O_O)

Anyways, he called to check on me just now. Said that they are in a taxi, going somewhere. Glad that he reached there safely and I'll pray for his safety and good health all the time while he's there.

Oh, how I miss him already... :)

Good thing is, I won't be alone for long. My mom and my little sis is coming for the holidays this coming Wednesday. Like my partner said, this is just like the usual weekdays parting between us... :)

Messy la...

My house is a total mess right now. Argh... Need to clean up again before my mum and my little sis come next Wednesday...

Not entirely my fault though, my partner is my partner in crime. He's basically rushing, pulling, digging here and there to pack his suitcase(s) to bring to Korea tomorrow nite.

Yes, will be without him for 2 weeks straight starts from tomorrow nite. O_O Will miss u... :~(

Luckily enough, my 2 good girlfriends can't make it for the sleepover this Saturday's night. So I can procrastinate until then before I start cleaning up this mess...;)

I am grateful.

Despite the several lows over these few months, I definitely need to be grateful for things that I have in my life. So this is my definite list of things / events that I'm thankful for:

1. A wonderful loving partner.
Thank you for staying by my side especially during tough and emo times. Thank you for all the joy and laughter shared...Hehe... I know at times it's almost impossible to understand what I'm thinking or why I acted the way I did and I'll try to be a better partner to you from now on. Love you very much! (Other readers...Ok, u may puke)

2.A loving family.
I have been away from home most of my pre-adult and adult life ...Sent to fully residential school since I was 13 years old and will only spend my time at home during holidays. Then the Uni days right after SPM, where trip back to KK was like once in a year. Now that I am working the frequency has increased to 2-3 times per year. But still, I missed a lot of events back home. But eventhough I hardly spend time with my family back at home, they still provide me with endless, unconditional support and love. Thank you and I love all of you very much!

3. Friends.
Thank you for all the laughters and sorrows shared. Though, I admit that I may have lost contact with some really good old friends over the years. Maybe I was so caught up with my own life and them in theirs...Maybe I have neglected them in ways that most of the time I was unaware of. I really do miss the good old times hanging out with you guys and wish that we can do that again.

4. Roo & Oliver.
Thank you for being such a wonderful roomates ever. I may have yelled when you scratched my sofa or when you've covered the house with excessive sheddings of fur but the truth is I LOVE YOU GUYS!

5. Good health.
Dear body, I will eat healthily more next time. I will try to control my diet and will cut down those fats that causes you to feel sick. I'm sorry for not doing much exercise over the years. I promise I'll do better from now on.

6. To have a job.
I know I have mostly cursed about my job related life. But looking back, I think I should be really thankful that I am still able to earn my own money where some people can't even find a job for themselves.

7. Lastly but not the least, I want to thank GOD for watching over me, my family and my loved ones. Thank you for being so forgiving, and I am truly sorry for being a sinner and ungrateful person at times. Thank you Lord.

There you have it. I'm glad that I wrote this. :)

Amazing Race Asia 3- Utter Disappointment

This is the first time that I'm actually following every single episode of Amazing Race Asia and from the beginning I've cheered for Team Malaysia (Henry and Bernie).

I find them to be a cool team and most importantly they're not rude to people around them. They raced with integrity and I think they represented Malaysia well... They were one of team who leads the race from the start.

But luck was not with them for long. Last week's episode they finished at 4th place. I think they wouldn't came 4th if not for the Yield given by the arrogant Team Philippines. So this week, they have tried to make up for the time lost...but they came last anyway. BIG mistake of joining Team HK (Sam & Vince)when flying to India. So they were sent home. Sad :(

Unexpectedly, another Team Malaysia (Ida & Tania) is still in the race despite being the last team to arrive at the pit stop..TWICE! Kudos to them for being so positive at all times... My bets are on them from now on. :D

Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

So this will be my first TAG thingy (I know... kind of late, but better now then never...haha)

Anyways... MereThoughts was tagged by Sogoh's Blog. So apart from tagging the next line of vics, let me spread a bit more about this campaign...

The month of October has been declared as Breast Cancer Awareness Month every single year. During this period, extensive charities / events are being held to raise funds and educating women on the importance of self-awareness towards breast cancer. These funds will then be directed into more research on prevention and possible cure for breast cancer. Also, support groups are initiated to aid emotional support to those suffered from breast cancer. You can read more cool stuffs over the net.

There you go folks! Start spread the word around. I know October is almost over... but it's not about being aware for a month. Remind your love ones or yourself at every chance you have or better yet, book them / yourself for that yearly screening... Or if screening with strangers put you off, DIY. But screening is the best though... :)

Next to blog bout this:

1. Nadiah
2. Ali
3. Afni
4. Mas
5. SuLan

Sorry, I can only name 5 person. That's ok right? Haha...

Sicky rants

I was sick for 2 days... very bad indigestion followed by gastritis... Dunno what food I ate that was un"ngam" with my tummy... sigh...

Anyways, since I was quite bedridden during that 2 days (if i stand up or walk around, the bad stomach cramps will come), I ended up watching a lot of TV. While clicking through the channels, I came across this pretty new movie at Channel 122. So having not watched any malay-speaking movies since I was in Uni, I decided to try to watch the show.

But to my major disappointment there's nothing much changes done to local movies. After trying to watch for about 30 minutes I HAVE to switch to another channel. I hate it when they use "dubbed" voices instead of recording the original voice during their shooting scene. Why do they have to do that? Enlighten me pls?

It's so annoying when the actors keep giving out the stupid sounds like ehm, ahh, ohh (then repeat ehm, ahh, ohh again) just to fill in the gap of silence due to the absence of a real background noise.

Furthermore, most of the time it's like watching a foreign language film too coz the actor's mouth movement was totally different from the word that he/she was suppose to be saying. Get me? Oh well, try to see those pantene / rejoice commercial and you'll understand. I'll bet that if you turn off the sound and ask a lip reader person to read out the dialogue, you will get a different kind of storyline altogether.

So I guess I'll stick to the weekly saturday's cerekarama at tv3 if I really (i mean if really) want to watch a malay-speaking movie. Coz this one they use the original actor's voices recorded at the shooting scene with real background sounds... and eventhough the actors in it are not always the big names but at least the movie delivers better with better sound and doesn't annoy you with the ehm, ahh or ohh. I will only watch the kampung based stories though, those with sad sad drama in it. :D

Sucks!

I did something stupid just now... so so stupid that I wish I didn't do...but I stupidly did.
I have wasted RM90.. just like that...
Well, here goes... I bought this online air ticket...and stupidly purchase it on a wrong departure date...which of couse I have to change the flight details again and now I'm RM90 poorer.
It's not like hundreds..I know...but still I can buy nice things with that money...

This wasn't the only bad thing that had happened to me over the weekends...

Yesterday, I was forced into confinement in my house since a package was supposed to be delivered to my house that day. The call centre lady which whom I have spoken to on Friday said that the package will be delivered before /around 1pm. So I woke up early (which is a real torture for me during weekends), went out to have b'fast and obediently went back home to wait for my package to be delivered. And I've waited and waited, but the stupid courier service didn't show up at all!!!

So being a "good" girl, I patiently tried to get thru the hotline numbers...but of course I have only managed to waste another few bucks of my airtime... ****!

Anyways, left a NICE comment / feedback on the courier company's site... and I will expect a word of LOVE from them... pronto! Should they failed to do so... I'm gonna make a call to that customer service and am gonna give them an earful for ruining my Saturday.

Creator?

So this is what I have been doing lately... Creating a family and buying stuff...
I have created 2 people. They're siblings. Sisters. The elder sister was named Elsie Maria and the younger one named Yvanne. Elsie is a blond whilst the sister is a brunette.
They have different facial features. One with green eyes and the other one with blue eyes, one with pointy nose, one with smalll mouth and etc. I just love creating people. I gave them both fair skin. Fit body and nice defaulted hairstyle.
So the surname is Peter Vella... Yes, after the red wine.. My fav!

So I have this storyline for their lives... They became orphaned and inherited a bit of money to start their own. So I moved them into an apartment lot. Pretty small than the houses I used to move the people I've created into.

Anyways, the apartment is a 2 bedroom with 2 bathroom. No attached bathroom. The rooms are small. And this is rented aparment. The rent is about 2K per week! But mind you, this is considered the cheapest they can get in town.

So first day in the apartment... and all they have were clothes on their back. There're very minimal furnitures provided by the landlady. So they bought themselves a nice 3-seater couch, a TV, food processor, 2 single beds (the bedroom is so small), dining table (with 4 dining chairs), desk with chair, and few hanging lamps.
And they bought a phone for the house and cellphone for each of them.
The next important thing is clothes! They went and spend almost like 6K of their inherited monies on clothes.

For every ppl that I've created, first skill that they have to learn is how to cook. Elsie learned quite fast, compared to her sister. But I noticed that Yvanne is good at cleaning things around the house. So there's balance in the house. Next thing they'll need to do is looking for suitable job. Elsie is more to money oriented.
So any high paying job will suit her. Im thinking maybe let her try to go into business-related job. On the other hand, Yvanne is more towards the nature herself, maybe a job as a tour guide / nature guide will suite her. But after 2 days of searching, they still didn't manage to find one.

The money left after all the buyings are not much. Towards the end of the first week, the landlady will come to collect the rent money... So they need to have their income fast!

Damnation!

Just when I thought I can have an ease of mind over at work, the most unexpected thing happened. I know the world is a small place... but why of all places, here? Aren't there any other places that you can go and make a living for yourself? Tartar sauce!!!

Long overdue post... Part 3

The next day drive around town in KK... And I decided to bring my partner for a taste of Bukit Padang's ABC... This eatery place has been around since my secondary school time... Whenever my parents pick me up from SBPS (my secondary school) for holiday or just an outing we will definitely go to this place... Very very nice to have a bowl of ABC during hot sunny weather in KK.. :)

"Mine, ABC biasa"

"My sis', ABC with ice cream"

"My partner's, ABC with mix fruit"

"Side order of char kui kawin, simply means char kui with butter and kaya ---> very nice"

The next day we went to Penampang Tamu to buy this;

"Can't get enough of this..hehe"

Some pics taken at my grandparents (mom's side)house...

"Pretty cactus"

"Remind me of my missing Boo... poor Baby, he's so alone..."

So, that's it... My recent trip back to KK. Uploading pics is never fun for me... *_*

Long overdue post... Part 2

The next day after Poring trip, I brought my partner and grandparents (my father's side) to Ranau Tamu... Tamu is like this big pasar (market) held every month. Just want my partner to experience this. Mind you, when I was little, trip to tamu like this excites me...:) But I don't have much pic of this coz we were buzy browsing and I was busy explaining this and that to my partner..

"Pretty trees near the Liwagu River nearby"

"Hehe, pawong anyone?"

"Ya meh?"

Afterwards we went for breakfast.. Oh yes, we woke up pretty early to avoid the rush at the tamu...

"Liwagu river"

"This humble kopitiam serve the meanest "konomien" with best char siew"

"Plant covered with hearts"

"What I love most about Ranau is the ever clear blue skies... I was really at peace here"

That very same day we drive back home.. and I managed to persuade my partner to allow me to drive all the way back to KK... :)) So I did it!!!
We stopped by at Kinabalu Park for a while just to show my partner around coz we promised my family that we will reach home before dark. We will climb Mt Kinabalu next time... hehe (Well, I climbed it before... but that was a very long time ago..)

"I was here"

"Mini clear stream"

"I was very very tempted to explore this trail... but alas, no time to do so :("

"Dense mountain forest"

So when we took off from Kinabalu Park it was around 4pm and the fog along the way was very thick... very thick that I was forced to drive at 30mph!!! Goodness, the visibility was like 50 meters or even less... very dangerous.

"Sunset sunset"

We arrived home safely at around 7pm and another feast awaits us that evening... pure sin of gluttony I tell you...

Long overdue post.. Part 1

Ok, it's now the month of October... and I shall end this moment of laziness and update my blog... :) So behold... Pics taken during my recent KK trip...

Here are some pictures taken during my sis' engagement party...

"My sis' gifts during her engagement on 30/08/2008"

"Yum yum"

"Engagement cake"

"This one called gorouk.."

"Cut vege ready to be cook"

"My partner helping out..hehehe"

"Food I gobbled down that day"

That nite we went for movies at 1Borneo... The place was nice, but still under development so the parking was like hell. I went to this shop called Daiso, all items were priced at RM5... and I saw lots of creative Japanese everyday items being sold... hehehe. Definitely will go there again...

The next day we drive back to my childhood hometown Ranau...

"Jambatan Tamparuli...the ever mentioned item in some kadus songs"

I grew up here... Well, at least until I reach 12 years old... :)

"This is where my house is located at"

"My dear primary school"

And of course for me a trip to Ranau will not be complete without Poring HotSpring's visit. Even my family can't understand my over fascination to this place... For me I'll never get tired of this place...

"Poring at Poring HotSpring..hehe"

"This little bird was watching us the whole time while we were soaking in the hot tub"

"We went home quite late... I find this lamp is pretty... And see the almost-like-smiley face?"

"Creative arrangement of pebbles on the concrete track... I heart this"

Tomorrow nite me and partner will fly back to my hometown, Sabah... Yeyeyeyeye, can't wait! Jumpa bisuk malam kio KK!!! (Erm, means see you tomorrow KK) However, pity Roo & Oliver... I will leave them at home and luckily my good friend is willing help to check on them whilst I'm away... Hopefully they'll be okay...

MAHA 2008

It has been a lazy weekend for me. Suppose to do lots of stuff but as usual I procrastinate... hehehe.. Me and partner went to visit MAHA 2008 in Serdang though...
This one is sure the better one compared to the one I went previously...

"No touchy, no touchy"

The one event interest me the most was the Rodeo thingy... It was Australian's one that day...

"one of the cowboy holding our flag"

"This was the ring or whatever they call it"

It was raining but still there's so many peeps who refused to stay at home...like me haha...

More pictures at the event... :)

"Nice design of street lamps"

"Beautiful bonsai"

"Ladang limau"

"Orkid"

"Square watermelon"

The place was so big, and the sections were so distanced from each other... So we have to park at the second entrance, and pay RM1/person to ride the tram to other sites...

Overall, we enjoyed it...And before going back home, I tried the fish spa thingy...

"It was ticklish"
