Fishpaste!!!

Last weekend was a bad weekend for me. Why? Hmm let me think;
First my washing machine broke down (Darn, I'm not gonna do manual laundry!)
Second my iron stopped working (Bought a new one, which cost me 89 bucks haiih...)
Third I spent my Sunday literally alone (Sob Sob)
Fourth the WNN alarm went funny (Just visited the mechanics last 2 weeks!)
Fifth went to gas station to pump petrol... (O_O, this will be on my list of bad things happening in my life from now on)

Luckily I still have some sanity left to act normal this week. But seeing the mounting of work need to be done on my desk is starting to push me towards the edge... Well, I'll survive these anyhow... Have too right? Yeah, right.

4 days a week?

I came across an article over on the NST where employers in the US are implementing a 4-day workweek for their employees to cope with the surging cost of daily living. Employees are required to work for 10 hours a day (instead of the normal 8 hours a day) though to compensate the amount of work for a day-less in a week. Even school are adjusting their schools are also considering this move.

Anyone up for this idea? I think it's great. Not only we can save the expenses (e.g. petrol, lunch , bfast, toll fee) that we need to spend in order to go to work weekly, it will also give us more time for our OWN sweet use. :D
It will also benefit the employers I think, since it will reduce their daily operating cost. Looking back at my old job, working 10 hours or more in a day was almost normal. In fact, there were times when I need to work for almost 12 hours straight in the office. Neverending workload is normal for most companies nowadays. So no harm in trying 10 working hours for 4-day workweek right?
Hmm, so let's say the gov decided to implement this move too... What should I do for that extra one day off? I have one thing in my mind right now... SLEEP IN!!!

Ngeeeheehe... I'm happy :)

My pledge has won me a brand new bag and a small bonsai tree... Ignore the background, pls.

We were having this campaign at the office for Environment Day and were told to write our pledges towards a better environment. So I wrote mine, and suprisingly I won! Kekeke... Ever since I pasted my pledges on the board ppl started asking me how am I going to measure a minute-less whilst showering ... Hmm, by turning off the shower whilst soaping and brushing my teeth of course... So this is my winning pledge "I will shorten my shower time by 1 minute everyday" ...

Need subsidy...Boo Hoo

Morning --> New petrol price starting August. OK. Still have time to embrace the RM1.92/litre petrol . Calculating budget for August onwards...

Lunch --> Nom Nom

Noon --> Was inside a meeting room. Unaware of commotion outside.

5.30pm --> Officemate becomes chaotic. What?? RM2.70/litre starting THIS midnight?!! Check NST online. And bummer, it's true!..

6pm --> Drive home. (Was having paranoia thoughts that every single car is racing to the petrol station)

6.20pm --> I was right! Reached the roadside to Shell station near Equine Park and the line was already building up. Line up and managed to quench my car's thirst of "soon to be less subsidise petrol" after 20 minutes of waiting. I was lucky to be early though, since when I'm leaving the station the line along the roadside was almost 3X the length when I first arrived. And worse yet, it was raining.

So, tomorrow onwards since it will cost me maybe as much as RM100+ for a full tank of petrol I will need to think ways of reducing fuel consumption... Hmm... Ok here goes;
1. Walk instead of drive to nearest shop / grocery store. (Except when I need to buy heavy stuff, of course...)
2. Spend most of my weekend at home. Drive only to nearest lrt station if I need to go somewhere in KL. No need to drive.
3. Reduce long distance trip per week. ;P

I can't think of anything else right now. Watched the news just now and gov will give back rm625 for those who own vehicle with 2000cc and below?.. Upon paying the roadtax?... need some enlightenment on this one... Oh well, I'll read the paper tomorrow.

Freaks

Some people are just freaks scattered around in this dying world... Am I being too nice and quiet all the time? I guess I am. I will not give a damn on what people think of me. I am what I am.
