I guess I'll never had the time to do a long post about whatever happened last year... So here goes;
Great Times:
- I married my long time partner on the 28/11/2009. (I'm just purely happy that things went well on that day. Maybe there were some minor flaws, but the most important thing was that we were married in the name of God)
- I joined Fitness First and lose weight. (For those who wants to lose weight, I recommend you to exercise religiously, it does work!)
- My grandfather doing well after being discharge from IJN. (He underwent several surgeries and finally got a pacemaker implanted in him. )
-Celebrated New Year's eve in Kuching with my family and husband's family. (Initial plan was to have our second reception in Kuching on the 28/12/2009. But we cancelled it because it was inappropriate and change to a family dinner instead. It was fun. My family spent the days in Kuching by shopping at Waterfront and eating the ever famous mee kolok!)
Sad Times:
- My father in law passed away. (He died of asthma attack on the wee hours of 7/11/2009. This was like 3 weeks before our big day. To be honest, my wedding almost didn't happen. But my husband's family insisted that we go through with our wedding plans. I can't express in words my mixed feelings during that time. I kind of felt guilty to be happy for my wedding. My husband was devastated, and I don't blame him. Losing his father before our wedding was the WORST thing that could ever happened. My late father in law was in and out of hospital few months before he passed away. But no one could think of him leaving so soon. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.)
- My grandfather got really sick and admitted to a month plus at Cardiac Care Unit, IJN. ( He had an irregular heart beat that caused several fainting episodes. It was bad. But thank God, after the pacemaker, he's recuperating well at home now. I pray and hope that he'll become stronger and stronger each day)
- I gained weight. (This was so discouraging. I missed a lot of gym sessions few months prior to November, and practically none whatsoever from November till the year ended. I have mindless eating, and zero exercise, so all my hard work months before went down the drain.)
- No progress in career. (I declined a job offer, and no promotion at work. Working life sucks!)
I can't think of any other events right now. But that's it. Bittersweet right?
Now we are in the brand new year of 2010. Heck, it's already the last day of January! So far, a number of promising things happened. We are planning a holiday soon for our long pending honeymoon (still between choices), I bought a 4WD truck for my dad (well it's not like paid full in cash, loaned from the bank of course), I won few things from a radio station (cds, book...must be grateful), my husband got a double promotion at work (yey!) and we are looking to buy our own house (still looking) and I managed to get my husband joined Fitness First as well. So, no more this feeling like I abandon him whenever I spend my time at the gym. He complained bout my gym-ing session few times last year... Now he'll be dragged to go with me. Though I must say, from the things are right now, he's loving gym more than I do already!
Cheers to a fresh start with lots of love and prosperity!
